Dr. David Skaff was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on an Air Force base while his father was serving our country during the Korean War.
Dr. Skaff attended Florida State University graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1984. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from West Virginia School of Dentistry in 1989.
After completing dental school, Dr. Skaff joined his father Orlando Skaff, DDS and his brother in a large group practice in North Miami. Dr. Skaff learned a lot from working with his father until he passed away in 1998, the most important being that we treat patients and not "teeth." His father used to say "I’ve never seen a tooth walk into my office, but a person did!"
Seeking to learn more advanced technique and procedures, Dr. Skaff took a Maxi Course in Dental Implantology from the Medical College of Georgia and is a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He also attended the prestigious Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, FL from 2001 to 2005.
Dr. David Skaff is married to Katyna who was a registered dental hygienist at his father’s office. They have been married for 25 years and have two children David Louis II and Emma. They live in Cooper City and enjoy skiing in the winter and watching football, especially the Miami Dolphins and FSU Seminoles.
